59° International Competition of Contemporary Ceramic Art, MIC – Internation Ceramic Museum, Faenza – Italy.27 June 2015 – 24 January 2016.More than 1300 works, by 618 artists coming from 57 nations show a contemporary vision which includes, always more frequently, ceramics as creative means.The Jury of the 59° Faenza prize composed of Claudia Casali, Director of MIC Faenza, Monika Gass, Director of Keramikmuseum, Westerwald, Höhr-Grenzhausen, Germany; Grant Gibson, Director of the Crafts Council Magazine, Great Britain and Daniela Lotta, Art and Design historian, teacher ISIA in Faenza, faced serious difficulties in the selection of the works to award.

we are sending you the program of the opening of the Faenza Prize, on 26th June, Friday:
4.00 pm – meeting/talk with Silvia Celeste Calcagno, Faenza Prize over 40; Helene Kirchmair, Thomas Stollar, Faenza Prize under 40 ex-aequo; Nicholas Lees, Cersaie Prize.
6.30 pm- official opening and prize awarding ceremony of the 59th International Competition of Ceramic Art – Faenza Prize
8.30 pm – dinner at the seat of the Fondazione Banca del Monte e Cassa di Risparmio di Faenza.
Saturday 27th June at 10.30 am – meeting at the MIC and following visit at the ceramic studios in Faenza.
